Built on Strength

Most Varencia pieces are built on 316L surgical-grade stainless steel. A smaller selection is made from solid 925 sterling silver. The performance details below describe our stainless steel pieces.

We do not use brass as a base metal. Most affordable jewelry uses brass, which oxidizes under sweat and skin oils and can turn skin green over time. Our 316L stainless steel does not.

Stainless steel provides superior corrosion resistance, structural durability, and long-term stability. It maintains its integrity over time and will never turn skin green.

PVD Bonding for Daily Wear

Our 18k gold and rose gold finishes are PVD bonded over a 316L stainless steel core. PVD bonding produces a coating approximately 10 times thicker than traditional gold plating.

Unlike traditional electroplating over brass, this controlled vacuum process creates stronger adhesion and greater structural consistency. The result is improved surface durability and enhanced color stability that does not flake, peel, or wear away with daily use.
