About Varencia

Designed to Live In.

Varencia was built on a simple belief: luxury should not be fragile.

Jewelry should move with you. It should not be removed before a shower, fade after a workout, lose its brilliance after years of daily wear, or leave your skin green.

We make modern heirlooms designed to live in.

Performance Is Our Standard

Varencia pieces begin with 316L surgical-grade stainless steel. This premium base metal is nickel-free, corrosion-resistant, and trusted across medical and industrial applications for its strength and skin safety. Select pieces are made from solid 925 sterling silver, a precious metal chosen for its lasting brilliance and the traditional feel of fine jewelry.

Most affordable jewelry uses brass, which oxidizes under sweat and skin oils and can turn skin green over time. Our 316L stainless steel does not.

For our stainless pieces, gold and rose gold finishes are PVD bonded in 18k gold over the stainless steel core. PVD bonding produces a coating approximately 10 times thicker than traditional gold plating, and it does not flake, peel, or wear away with daily use.

The result is jewelry that is:

  • 100% waterproof: safe in the shower, pool, ocean, and gym
  • Hypoallergenic and skin-safe: lead-free, nickel-free, will never turn skin green
  • Built for daily wear: no need to take it off

Full-PVD pieces are covered by our Lifetime Plating Integrity Guarantee.

The Materials We Chose, and Why

Most fashion jewelry is built on brass. Brass is cheap, easy to work with, and that's why it dominates the category. But brass has real limitations. It contains copper, which oxidizes when it contacts skin, sweat, or moisture. That oxidation is what turns fingers green. Brass is also softer than stainless steel, so it bends, dents, and warps under daily wear.

Varencia uses 316L surgical-grade stainless steel, the same alloy used in medical implants and high-end watches. It's significantly harder than brass, holds its shape over years of wear, and is fully inert against skin.

Stainless steel costs more. It's harder to source and harder to work with. Most brands choose brass because it saves money. We chose stainless steel because it's better for the people wearing it.
